I've borrowed a 5Dmk1 from a friend, but i cant get my PC to recognise it!!! got it plugged in via the USB lead but it wont recognise it at all.
Tried downloading the DPP software but thats no good, tried canon utilities but get the same, theres no drivers for it.....

am i missing something?

Why would you need the PC to recognise the camera?

well i havent got a CF card reader so its the only way to get the files off it.

managed to sort it out, changed the pc connect to print/ptp and its worked a treat
