I did it yesterday and promptly deleted the files after a quick preview.

Pity about the focusing though....

Yep it is annoying. I have to get their "beaks" right in the camera to get a good effect - but can't focus that close. They were taken with a screw-on .50X adapter. Maybe a more extreme one like .25X would allow me to get the effect from further away.

Great fun taking these photos though :)!

I have been wondering for ages how they got those shots. I tried myself when I first got my camera but they look awful and I never tried since.

Guess you need to use a very small aperture to get the whole head in sharp focus when that close to the lens.

Hummmm must try it again with my 10-20

Heres Millie our mog with the 10mm end of the 10-20

Open wide, a tired moggy mid wawn - a bit too close to focus.

Put em up, a tired iritable moggy with a camera pointed at her.

Ha-ha much better than my last attempt, with better background, lights and more patient dog they wouldn’t be too bad lol.

With a 10-20mm up against the wire and her right up close on the other side at one of the WHF days.

She kept breathing on the lens and steaming it up! lol.

At least you got the eyes in focus Hacker, all I got was the tip of the nose!! Beautiful eyes in that shot.

I think i have one of Pip, our Jack Russell, must go and find it. The one of Biggles almost made me fall off my chair

hope it's ok to put 3 up...? They're not brilliant, she fidgets far too much
