Im looking for informed opinions on the following lenses.Anyone owned them both or can offer critique on one they have owned would be great.

Im thinking of adding the last lens to my bag, either a new Nikon 16-35 f4 or the 14-24 f2.8. I would be doing landscapes and stars mainly with the lens i buy.I know the 14-24 needs the expensive Lee filter hlder etc but i could look into buying this as its a one off purchase. The 14-24 is also f2.8 and this would help with photographing stars and keep my camera on a low ISO.The 16-35 would be new ith a warranty and would take my current holder system but its an f4 which is fine for most things but for stars/milkyway et then the iso would need to go up a bt on my camera...Your thoughts please.

get the nikon 17-35mm f2.8 built like a tank really fast focus and wont fall apart like the 16-35 if dropped
if you want to try one im up near livingston

16-35 f4 for general use/filters with the 14mm samyang 2.8 for starscapes.
