Great stuff, I have just been doing something very similar but haven't got permission to share online yet!

I know this is in the Photos for pleasure section but the first photo is crying out for an exposure boost which would lift it dramatically. It's always best to add a stop or so of exposure compensation when shooting in the snow as the brightness fools the camera's meter.

Adding a bit of brightness in post would also work...

Thanks for the comments. Yeah, looking at the first shot here it is a little dull. I was trying to get the snow detail also, and ended up underdoing the brightness. With better planning I would have used my flash off camera, but it was cold so I was rushing and these were just for fun...
 
#1 is a great, fun shot; I'd like to see an edited version, as has been said, if you do it.

She's a hardy lady and I'm sure you enjoyed warming her up...:naughty:
