When out and about on a holiday like my last weekend trip to Brighton. My wife had asked for something that should be possible:
1. Take photos using camera (x100 in my case, RAW + JPG)
2. Use smart phone/tablet to browse photos stored in wifi SD card
3. Only download 1 or 2 interested JPG
4. ???

I own eye-fi pro x2 the original 8GB. I know this isn't possible using eye-fi because eye-fi is designed to transfer all photos from camera to computer. Even with direct mode and use protect to select photos, the iOS app is shockingly bad, I can't even save the photo to camera roll.
Currently there's quite a few choices on the market compared to early eye-fi days:
- Toshiba Flash Air
- Transcend Wi-Fi SDHC
- exShare Wifi Sd
Which one best supports above use case?
Is there anyway to turn on/off wi-fi in the camera?
I know FlashAir supports using web browser to browse. Does the other 2 also support this? This is a slower method to browse, but it is independent of terrible apps and is guaranteed to work.
What about write speeds? The x100 is slloooooow, there is a noticeable responsiveness difference between eye-fi class 6 and sandisk extreme pro I usually use. Which of the wifi card is fastest to write?
Finally, which of the card supports same function as eye-fi? As in streaming images off the card onto desktop computer using wifi from router.
