Good morning all,

I have been looking at SD cards and come across the Transcend 16gb Wifi Wireless SDHC
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Transcend...l-camera-/291359276518?_trksid=p2054897.l4275

Can someone explain in simple terms how they work exactly? Is it a case of using it in your camera like a normal SD card and then have the ability to transfer pictures from camera to tablet wireless - ly?

Is it that straight forward or is there more to it? Do I need a special type of camera or will my Canon 1100d be ok?

Thanks in advance.

Chris

I've got on for my 60D. It saves the images to the card but will also transfer JPEGs to your PC/tablet/phone. TBH I found it a pain to set up and it's still not perfect. I got mine because I was hoping that images would come up on screen straight away which sometimes they do but after a few it seems o stop. I dont know if its me or not though so take that into account.

You need to make sure there's a eye-fi option on your camera. On my 60D it's at the bottom of the first spanner icon in the menu.

Looks like you are sorted as you are upgrading and as Mike says the 70d has wifi built in.

Another wifi sd card is the toshiba flashair one, I use it with my xf1 and d90 and works well with the nexus 7. Only issue is the software on the tab does not show the raw pic so have to shoot both raw and JPEG.

i had terrible results with the transcend, the ipad would constantly lose connection to the card, it was too fiddly, I hated it and returned it, I never tried the eye-fi though, maybe that's better
