Will a Manfrotto RC2 (adapter) plate fit a Giotto MH7001 ball head?

Prob goin to sound really stupid but is i possible to attach a Manfrotto Quick Change Rect.Plate Adaptor (one of these) to a Giotto MH7001 ball head?

Just that I have two ball heads - Manfrotto & Giotto so instead of having two different QR plates I was wondering if I could fix a RC2 adapter plate to the MH7001.. So that I have just the one QR...

I dont have either head with me at the mo so I cant really see for myself.. So is it a case of screw one onto the other & will it fit :shrug:

I'll try it for you tomorrow...

the giottos is a few mm longer than the manfrotto and doesn't fit in a manfrotto qr plate though, so there may be some movement...

The MH7001 uses the 652 QR plate and unfortunately that and the RC2 are incompatible, because my plate from the 1301 won't fit the 234RC and vica versa.

Giottos seriously need to get a grip and make a 652 or equivalent monopod head like the 234!!!

Its not really a problem as one is on a Manfrotto monopod & the other on a Giotto's tripod - I was just curious if it could as then I could've left a plate on the camera/lens tripod collar
