Beginner Will a nvme drive make a big difference over ssd for editing photos and video?

I am building my first PC and would like to start video editing for first time as a hobby. I would appreciate any help or advice you may have for me please.

So i purchased a Crucial MX300 750gb for £105 which planned to use as OS,applications + edit video files and photos on.

Then i found out about nvme, i can get 256gb for £120

If i was editing my videos on nvme drive would their be a massive difference in performance compared to ssd??

I have a Samsung 950 and it boots a little faster, maybe but other than benchmarks it's not much use!!
