Will Amazon take my Electric Shaver back

I can't think where else to find this out :thinking:

I took delivery, earlier this morning, of my first electric shaver. I tried my first shave and immediately found it caused a very bad and very sore rash. So I stopped using it and (perhaps like an idiot) carried on an hour later on the other side of my face. Yes again I caused another very bad and very sore rash on that side.

I have returned other items, to Amazon, under the 7 day Distance Selling Rules but wonder if I can return the shaver as in my case my skin just don't like 'electric style' shaving.

Oh what to do :shrug:
 
Take a photograph of the red rash - email them - and say look what this shaver has done to me - and I'd like to return it.. I'm sure they'll take it back..
 
As far as I'm aware all electric shavers will usually cause a rash until your face gets used to it.
 
It's a common problem, often caused by using too much pressure. If you feel you would like to persist with it, try using the lightest of pressure on your skin.
 
Get some preshave oil from boots. Make sure you wash your face first it stops the skid, and as the others have said you dont need to grind your face with it.

I got myself a philishave recently and it caused me a few minor red marks for a start until I got used to it.

Check Amazons t&c's as some things like electric razors, jewelry etc are non returnable for hygene reasons. Better to contact them if not sure.

I have only ever used one briefly, many years ago, and only bought it as I am in bed recovering from a serious health problem and thought it would be less stressful to use. From now I will will revert back to the chair, in the bathroom, at the sink.

My wife has just called Amazon and explained the problem and they said they will refund the full cost. I am amazed to find such a sympathetic and excellent response in this day and age.

I will sure keep on using Amazon - even more so now.
 
Dont forget to blow out any pubic hair though before returning it :thumbs:
