Hi

I have a D200 with 18-70 DX, 70-300 Sigma and 35-70 Film Macro.

Can anyone tell me whether these will work on a Nikon film body and if so are there particular bodies to avoid or for that matter to favour.

Looking forward to using a lightmeter again

Cheers

Peter

The DX lens will fit on a film body, but the image it projects won't fill the frame. A digital SLR with a full-frame sensor will crop the image automatically to just the usable bit, but a film camera won't be able to. I wouldn't bother if I were you.

The 70-300 and 35-70 will be fine.

A DX (Nikon branded at least) I think is generally an AF-S lens and are always a G lens. So even if it fits, you'd need a modern film camera do drive it as AF-S has no screw thread and G has no aperture ring.
