Will Sony release a FF replacement for the 850/900 ?

looking around most sites I can see that the 850 and the 900 look like they have been discontinued. However the last time I checked Son'y range I don;t remember seeing a newer FF to replace either of them.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_Alpha

in fact the only current models are

A57
A65
A77

That would leave the A77 as the only top end camera they have in the alpha series now and I thought the 77 was a direct replacement for the 700, albeit with a change in mechanics to the EVF and translucent mirror Also it is still a crop sensor and not FF like the 850 or 900.

Does this mean that Sony are bowing out of the professional market altogether now or do they have something in the pipe for release late this year ?

Wait and see. There were some rumors of A99 EVF cripple.

A pro level DSLR with an EVF ?

somehow I can't see that taking off. The EVF in the 77 is very good as I tried one out in Jessops a while back, but I would think that pro's would still favour their good old pentaprism OVF ?

It seems they are instead targeting high end enthusiast market for now.
The good old large OVF is partly the reason why I am clinging on to 1-series so tightly. Can EVF match it? Not yet...

sounds like 2 new ff cameras, end this years, but prob next year, 1 @ 36m same sensor as d800 and the other @ 24m, according to sonyalpharumors
