Its buy it now or make an offer so it won't go above 350. Can't comment on softness or value for money as I know nothing of the lens.

£350 is a fairly decent price for it. It won't rival L series, or the Nikon equivalent, but at a 1/4 (or 1/6 if you're comparing to the mk II Nikon) of the price you wouldn't really expect it to! I have one, and I'm very happy!
