They are not all the same bird and I think Lammie is right Alison... the first will be a Coal Tit...

It's difficult to tell, Alison, if they're marsh or willow But considering how flighty they are you've done very well

I agree with Toon here though and think you could even have captured both species Alison... :shrug: ... the middle three (2, 3 & 4) definitely look like they could be the same bird...

But I don't think the last is the same as the middle three imhgo and could possibly be the 'other' species too... ... hard to say from just those few pics though and without consulting my oracles in more detail...

Thanks venomator, I did think this was the same bird as I was trying to keep my eye on him everywhere he went - there were quite a lot of birds all together though coal tit, blue tit, great tit, willow tit(I think), nuthatch.
