Shot this one with a recently acquired Sigma 10-20mm and liked the lines. Your thoughts?

Yay.... great shot. Went to Winchester few days ago but could not get that shot as there was too many people about. Glad to see somebody got it for me.

Thanks for your kinds words once again.

The Sigma 10-20mm is a great lens. I am finding that using it is not so easy tho. At 10mm there is often so much in shot that the poor old sensor and meter has a hard time getting the balance between blown highlights and dark shade.

I still need lots of practice...

I used to live in Winchester so I know that view very well, one of my favourites. I'd have liked to have seen it from a few steps back so the first arch/gateway made the top of the frame above the lamp instead of that patch of sky. Otherwise, nice shot. Most people shoot it straight down the middle but I prefer your composition along the wall.
