Hello all, I am trying to find locations of windmills in and around Hampshire (which inc. the borders of surrey, wiltshire, dorest, w.sussex and berkshire).

I already know of buseldon windmill as I live close to it, and I also know of Rottingdean, but can anyone give specific locations to other windmill sites?! Thanks alot!

Outwood in Surrey always used to be a decent shot as long as it's not too far.
If I recall there used to be a windmill on the road approaching Shoreham too but not sure as it's been a while since I was over that way.

Lol!

not guilty - honest!

Anyway, still need help, as this lists water and will mills and is a bit of a pain to search!
Come on, stump up dave, you know any? :p

thanks peeps - frantically searching for as much info on these as possible!

Does anyone know in what forum I am allowed to create a directory for these?

Thanks ALOT

The mill is accessible all the time, well the grounds are - you can go right up to it! You dont have to pay if you dont want a tour, I went up there in the evening.

Details here and also here too

hopefully the weekend will be good, gonna try and find some other nice places

Well after all this silly chit chat I went out to shoot stuff. 136 miles and 5.5 hours later, I'm home. It's been a 23.5 hour day so pp will have to wait!

Fontwell, hove, Brighton and rottingdean windmill! Knackered!

Edit: and got questioned and quizzed by cops! Grr

Wow! that one looks lovely! is that your shot, its gorgeous!

Yup, been back every year and the field next to it has never been rape again, just grass. That was about 6:30am one morning, pretty sure it was with my old 300D and kit lens. The windmill though is stunning
