Windows 10 Pro users, has this happened to you today?

Hi all

Booted up this evening but now see a floating approx 75% transparent message

Activate Windows
Go to settings to activate Windows

My W10 was the free W7 upgrade with a digital license................Googling for this does throw up that it is only a limited number of W10 Pro users reporting this and the MS feedback appears to be to ignore it and it will sort itself out once the MS Activation Servers are corrected!!!

So, anyone else noticed this and as such what insight(s) have you to share?

I do hope that it does sort itself out sooner rather than later.

PPS My old Windows 7 was the Pro version.

Update

FWIW though Windows phones home in the background (to presumably check for activation status amongst other things) it looks like it might not be that often. I did a Restart and lo & behold it came up as activated.

Whilst it was in the opening phase, with no sign of the activation warning, I looked in Task Manager and there was whole raft of unspecified "windows problems" that as the disk activity calmed down from the bootup all disappeared.

All is sweetness & light for now

I seem to remember hearing there was a brief issue with the ms activation servers.
