Hi All

I'm likely to be wiping my drive and going from Vista 32bit to Windows 7 64 bit over the next few days, havn't had a few hours to spare so far!

My query is related to IE8 as I read somewhere that this isn't included in Win7? but I also read elsewhere that it can be toggled "Off or On" leading me to think it is included?
so my question to those of you who have installed Win 7 - does it come with IE installed or not?

I do use Firefox 95% of the time before you say, but I just like to have IE as well, hence I'm asking what may seem like a dumb question :D

It installed as default on mine... that was a 32 bit Ultimate version though...

I got the 64bit pro version and it installed IE8 on that. (or it might be ultimate...... why so many versions ?)

I took the lazy option of installing Win 7 64bit over Vista 64bit...although IE8 was included in Win 7.

I installed 7 windows in my house but cannot find IE8

I have Windows 7 home premium on both a PC and laptop, IE8 was installed by default. However, I have now changed to Google Chrome instead of IE8 and find its so much faster and seems very stable.

they were originally having to offer a choise on browsers but the euro courts pulled their head out of their arses.

IE8 isnt half bad, its better than FF speed wise for me at the mo. chrome doesnt factor into it as i think its a steaming pile. personally :)

W7 64bit here, I got two versions of IE (normal + 64bit) although I use Firefox.
