Windows 7 crashing with Ipod

I have just tried to sync my Ipad to my PC and the whole thing crashed. It is happening just at the point where images are being transferred from PC to Ipad. Has anyone else had this happen and are there any thoughts on a solution?

I am running Windows 7 and Itunes 10.1.0.56

I am at school at the moment, stuck in a 5 hour exam and our net nanny is not allowing me access to a number of Apple/Ipad help sites.

Any help would ease what might become a frustrating day

No - they have been resized for Ipad.

Thanks for your responses so far.

It is not the ipad that is crashing, it is the PC - the sync gets to the point where it is copying images and then i get a blue screen on my PC with lots of writing about crash and not able to continue and the whole thing shuts down.

I think I am going to leave sorting it until I get home now, or else I might lose all my hair.
