WINDOWS 7 Explorer Locks files

This happened to me last few days.

Windows 7

Basically the raw files can not be edited (in DPP, Bridge or CaptureOne) or moved or deleted.

Has anyone seen this before?

that article only references the thumbs.db file and deletion/renaming of the containing folder.

cant see it being the same issue you are experiencing.

do you get a specific error?

indeed. Mine is nothing to do with thumbs.db

just raw files
1 download from CF cards to PC - fine.
2 edited in Canon DPP then it says the files are being used by explorer and cannt be saved or deleted.
3 tried to move/delete them via windows explorer, same problem.
4. after rebooting, some files are now able to be manipulated but still some stubborn ones.

The error message is something like:
"The action can't be completed because the file is open in Windows Explorer."

out of interest try disabling indexing

The thing is, this has never been a problem before. The only thing different now on the PC is the CaptureOne I recently installed. I did stop the app when this problem occurred.
Could it be some daemon process (such like indexing) CaptureOne introduced?
