Microsoft have released the Release Candidate version of Windows 7. Here's the link for anyone wanting to be brave!

Now before I get brave I did start a thread on what's the best software to use burning an ISO file to make a Windows 7 installation dvd.

Many of you came up with software to do this but I've used the TP search facility and can't find it. Can anyone please help?

As an ISO is an image file it needs to be burnt as an image to work correctly
If you use Nero to burn, go to Recorder > Burn Image.... other burning software probably has the same option, (I only use Nero) if not download Daemon Tools (do a google) what this does is create virtual DVD/CD drives on your PC. So you then can mount the ISO
Here's a link http://www.daemon-tools.cc/eng/home

You can then mount the iso and just do a disc to disc copy in your burning software (y)

I am using win 7 rc and my initial thought was, wtf its slower that the beta version that i tried, but now its been running for a hour or so and the indexing thingy has been done it seems to be very responsive, only trouble i've had so far was the ati drivers, i installed them and it then told me that it couldn't find the graphic's card  but when i went to device manager and clicked update driver it found it and all seems to be well, I'm going to try installing some other stuff and see what happens' if it's anything like the beta version there will be no problems.
King of groove If you have a spare hard drive or partition I would recomend you try it, and you get nearly a years free use of it, looking good so far (y)
