I believe although I've never seen one that there's a plugin for Windows 7 that lets you see RAW pictures in explorer. ( Not Internet explorer )

There was a great one that you could use in XP but there was never a raw codec done for Vista so I used Fastone image viewer.

I'd like to get back to just clicking on a directory and seeing the raws just like you would your jpegs.

Is there anything out there now ?

I am pretty sure that Adobe produced something. Try clicking on a RAW image in explorer because it may ask to grab the appropriate program.

I could view RAW thimbnails in explorer straight away but when I installed the canon 550D software if installed some extra software that seems to preview them a little quicker,

It does sat 64bit not supported but it installed fine for me

Nikon have a raw codec, which you can download from their site. I'd suspect Canon would be the same.

I'd look for you, but then that would give you nothing to do :)

I have looked thats why I asked the question :bonk:

The Canon raw codec didn't work in Vista 64bit, so I might just see if it will install into 7 64bit.

Cheers I've sorted it with the fastpictureviewer codecs.

Thanks for giving me the info, it's still free if you know where to look ;)
