Must be a few out there :)

Been from iPhone to HTC Desire, and have now had the HTC HD7 for a month.

Great phone, breath of fresh air after the Desire. Battery life is much better, and the whole user experience is so much nicer. Desire was just a pain in the arse, I like things to just work, android patently does not currently.

Interface I would say is on a par with the iPhone, takes a little getting used to, but works well. Good platform for games. Best mobile web browser I've used.

Only major downside is that Bing Maps suck compared to Google maps. Hopefully there will be a google maps app soon.

I'm thinking of getting a win 7 phone for my next phone when the contract expires. It does look good, but need to make sure they add some things to it in updates first, like flash, the copy and paste (is that one out yet?) and some other things.

I have 2 phones, a

HTC HD Mini on windows 7 ( works phone )

Motorola Milestone on Android

I have had them both for a while and I much prefer Android. Windows phones from the past and this one alike lock up too often, have to few apps, and have wierd things like having to hit a button to put the phone on bluetooth when you get an incoming call ? whats that about.

My Android has a million free apps, does everyhting flawlessy and is way better thena the HTC. My last company phone was a Samsung Omnia Pro on Windows mobile, it was a pile of shi*.

I still beleive it's very much down to personal preference though. I like my Motorola because it's built like a tank, but it too has a downfall in that battery life is only 2 days :)

Errr, the HTC HD mini is a windows mobile 6.5 phone. The windows 7 phone OS is a completely different OS, NOTHING about it is the same, other than it being made by Microsoft. Windows phone 7 doesn't lock up like the mobile series did, and there are a lot more apps being developed for windows 7 phone.

Aye Windows Phone 7 is a completely different beast.

I thought I missed Flash when I had an iPhone, but then I got an Android phone and didn't use Flash in the whole year I had the phone. Adverts I don't want, and rollover navigation doesn't work on touchscreens, and it destroys the battery. This coming from a professional Flex developer btw.

The amount of faffing around I had to do with my desire to get it working right was ridiculous. Hacking it just to get the latest update, trying numerous different ROMs until finding one that had a satisfactory balance of stability and battery life. I have better things to do with my time.

To be fair to Microsoft, instead of pushing out a beta 1.0, they pulled some features and made sure that what they did release was rock solid...and it is. Few things missing are coming in the update shortly.
