Windows still retains password after waking from sleep

I found an interesting issue the other day. I brought my PC out of sleep and my password was already entered in the Win 7 password box. I presume that I unslept the PC, entered my password, didn't press enter, got distracted, the PC then slept itself and I awoke it in the last state I left it which was the password typed in but not submitted.

Anyone know if this "feature" can be disabled such that when the PC awakes, the password box is blanked out?

Don't think it can be disabled, although I didn't look into it much.

Is it really an issue that needs disabling? I can't imagine it happens very much.
