I have been tracking some herons at my local lakes, it takes a lot of patience as they like to sit still for a long time, but I just love seeing them in flight. It has been good practice for my fieldcraft trying to get close to them as they are not fond of humans, even if the light has rarely been good enough for me to be satisfied with the shots.

I think it's a lovely set.

Like the wing dipping into the water, almost seems as if it's checking the water temperature!

I'd look to bring the highlight slider down, if poss, as they may show up some more feather detail in the whites. (y)
