it has been some time since I posted. However just had 15 minutes to do a quick edit of a shot I took this weekend. C&C please.

Before - 5dII, Canon 135mm/F2 @ F3.5, 1/125sec and ISO 100

After - clarity +75 in ACR, CS4 Curves medium contrast, high pass @ 0.6, crop and add border

Certainly works for me too - The rope has a nice metallic look about it - great job.

One small (very small) niggle, the itsy bitsy teeny weeny piece of rope hair poking out above the knot. Very distracting :LOL:

no. two...and with the nit taken out...gosh some of us are real old bitches

try also a different format...instead of the portrait
say towards square...so the rope and knot are more balanced towards the knot and snow being the main attraction

Not to keen on No.1, I think its due to the building outline in it.

But number 2 is amazing.
 
Sorry I should have said that 2 is the processed version of 1.
