This guy has driven me crackers for 3 days. he's been gorging on the snails in the garden, but keeping to every bit of cover he can to frustrate my efforts to get a shot. Today he finally decided to front it out and come and give me the once over. :D

Chaffies and snow seem to go together so well....

We don't often get Starlings in the garden and when they do visit it's usually straight on the nut feeder, so it was nice to catch this one posing so nicely.

I've been catching fleeting glimpses of a new visitor for a couple of days, and today positively identified it as a Fieldfare, so I'm hoping to nail him in the next couple of days.

All the above at 500mm and 800 ISO.

Lovely opening shot Cedric... (y) ...such an unusual pose to have caught it in... :D

We have one coming regularly to the back door now where we are feeding all manner of feathers with an endless (they think ) supply of worms of one sort or another...

Fantastic images in the rest of this selection though... ;)
