Wire Wool - Improved Location

Morning All,

I had a go last week at the wire wool jobby in the middle of a field - got the tehnique 'ok', but I needed a better location.

This is Moira furnace. Closed in 1811.

I think I should have shot in RAW as the lighting looks like light pollution and is a bit 'orange'

I think this would have been improved if you had used the portrait orientation, as the right quarter of the scene is a bit wasted. There looks like too long a shutter speed for me too, as the sparks are starting to block up. Perhaps stepping forward a touch too could let a few more sparks escape the confines of the arch.

Zooming in on the arch would have given more space between the sparks.

Hope you don't find that too critical. :shrug:

It's looks a great location though, and would benefit from repeated visits to perfect the technique.

Yeah I agree it is a touch too long an exposure, and I will re visit again.

I did want them inside the arch though just for an effect.
