Now I just need to wait for the rain to stop before trying it out.

Dog chain - £1.25
3 set whisk - £1.99
Wire wool - £1.95 x 4 = £7.80

= £11.04

I didn't know how much wire wool to get so I thought 4 would be ample.

Just one question about this wire wool spinning thing, how do you light/heat or what ever the wool to get it sparking???

...like mad.... how mad is... like mad... does it seriously ignite..?

Oh yeah it does, you can also use a little flammable liquid to give it that extra boost :naughty:

I tried lighting a little WW tonight with a cigarette lighter and it wouldn't ignite.
Is there a trick or something I've missed?
Surely it doesn't burn like paper.

Looks like i'll be stopping off at Wilkos tonight too, always wondered what sort of kit you needed for wool spinning

Those whisks dont last 5 minutes, the heat from the wool buring melts the metal.

I have some thick stranded whisks from Morrisons that do the job and last for about 5 burns.

Hmmmm...looks like I need to spend a tenner......

may cost more than £10 with risk of fire. don't want to sound like a kill joy, but i would spend a bit more for a fire extinguisher.

this is also something i'm looking to do, but don't have a good location and worried about risk of fire.

Already have a fire extinguisher :)...and the dog chain :)

Raining here too :(
So i done some water drop photos indoors while i wait for it to stop
