Wireles Shutter release for D700

I want to buy a wireless shutter release for my Nikon D700. There seem to be several 3rd party manufacturers. with both good and bad reviews. Any suggestions?

I use a Hahnel one. I don't think it's got all the functions of the Nikon one, but if all you want to do is fire the shutter from a distance, it's great. It's also a fraction of the price of the Nikon one, which I couldn't justify as I only use it occasionally.

I thought for the price it was worth a punt,

it works, It still works. How long for is any ones guess

this one wont work with the D700

I use a Phottix Plato. Decent range and uses AAA batteries instead of odd lithiums.

Here's one with a timer, but I'll hold out with the hope that Phottix offer one, with the features - such as range confirmation - of the Plato.
