Wireless flash advise

I'm looking for a cheaper alternative to the canon 580ex which is the flash and also works with a wireless transmitter any ideas??

I've got a 580EX II, a Nissin Di866 and the wife has a Nissin Di622. The Nissin range are excellent quality build and have very similar functions and power to the 580EX II and the 430EX II respectively but they are about half the cost.

I don't think that's a wireless transmitter (master) unit, and it doesn't have high speed sync either.

Top end Metz, Nissin and Sigma do.

If I get the jist of the first post, the OP only requires the flash to work with a wireless transmitter (not as one) so the YN565EX should be fine unless the lack of high-speed sync is an issue, of course.

Well I want the closest equipment to the canon 580ex but cheaper really the nissin is sounded good

The Nissin Di 866 mk2 is an excellent alternative for those that can't afford the Canon 580exmk2.

It has most, if not all of the Canons features but is half the price. The Nissin doesn't have the same build quality or weather proofing but it is still very well made.
