wireless flash guns

how do i use a flash gun but not have it connected to my camera im wanting to try this when i get home http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=208624

will any flash gun work or do i need a specific type? If so can you point me in the direction of the cheapest option please?

What you need is a wireless trigger. Transmitter fits on the hot shoe of your camera, and the flashgun is connected to the receiver. Sorted.

They vary in price from really cheap to quite expensive. I use one from Yongnuo which has proved reliable so far and cost about £30 or £40 if I remember rightly.

I don't know if it wil work for this, but you could pick up a couple of used flashes form Fleabay quite cheap, whith a set of cheap triggers, and probably cost you £25 quid all in.
