Anyone know where I can get a pair of headphones that just plug into your ear and then nothing, no wire or ought, just like a bluetooth receiver that picks up the signal being sent from the sender plugged into the end of your ipod.

do these exist or am i a few years ahead of myself. Whenever i type in wireless headphones in google i get nothing

If you are looking for sound quality it is still not comparable to traditional earphones

so you've tried the sennheisers then?

when you say traditional headphones there is a MASSIVE difference depending on the brand.

i have a set of bose quiestcomfort noise cancelling headphones, and you dont get much better than that. i also have a oair of apple ipod headphones and you cant get much worse.

i havent tried the sennhiesers, but i doubt the quality would be poor

Rather than wireless headphones, how about wired ones with a portable music player? Probably cheaper in combination, with better sound quality to boot? Just a thought, as I'm obviously unaware of the circumstances.

not sure i understand. im usimg it with my ipod, which is a portable mp3 player, but i dont want the wires when i am running at the gym

I haven't tried the Sennhesiers, but audio is being changed from digital to analogue to digital to analogue which means the path between the source and the output is not the cleanest path. When using wired phones it goes from digital to analogue.

Not saying they are not good, but for the Sennhesiers price you are into the price of the Klipsch Image X10i which are meant to be the best in ears out there. You can get a lot more sound for a lot less money if you went with a wire.

What do you find so annoying with using wired phones?

Sennheisers are fantastic only brand i buy unless Bose are doing a sale ... they are fantastic!!!

sound quality is superb

But I already have a superb set of wired headphones, the bose quietcomfort 15s.

I want wireless because I want to use them at the gym where wires just become very irritating
