Wireless live shooting

Hi can anyone help?

I would like to be able to shoot from my D7000 to my PC wireless!
I know you can shoot into Lightroom 5 by teethered shooting but my lead isn't long enough for when I am wanting to move around(although it won't be far)
I will also have my infra red interfit on top of the camera to fire the flash so can't put anything else on top.

If it really isn't far then why not get a longer lead?

5m cables work well and with boosters you can get a much longer length.

I just thought it may be easier as I am going to do a studio shoot with children so need some movement and wireless means I don't have any kids going flying!

I use eyefi cards for events, they work well, I tend to shoot raw to the CF card, and a small jpeg to the eyefi a) to speed up transmissions and b) because for 6x4 prints from a dyesub that is sufficient resolution.

All of that's true. But wireless shooting is a _lot_ slower than wired. If you can put up with a wire then it's probably better.

Also, I wouldn't personally shoot children tethered. But that's just me.

I would have thought that tying them down would make it easier to get good focus...
