Just bought my manfrotti tripod from Welly (thanx Welly) now want to get creative :D

I would like to buy a wireless remote for my 40d any suggestions as to the best one to buy... i know the canon one is expensive, is it worth the extra or are there decent quality others...:)

I have the timer remote from Ebay too...great gadget! Timed shots, exposures and multiple timed firing. I think I paid around £20 but the standard wired remote is less than a fiver I think.

I wouldn't even think about the Canon branded one as the cheapo's do the job just fine (and you're from Aberdeen ;))

had a look at ebay there is one from Hong Kong thats only 13 quid anybody any idea if these are ok and trustworthy

The more recent Yongnuo 2.4 ghz wireless versions appear to be getting good reviews - as well as a wireless shutter trigger, you can also use it to remotely fire a flashgun plus studio lights - the model number is RF-602 either from ebay or via "Flash in the Pan" (user id here)
