Hi guys

Just looking at some options with regards to wireless remotes for my Nikon D750. I am intrigued by two setups really namely the Hahnel Captur with a view longer term to getting the motion/noise sensor etc for it, and also the yongnuo 622 system which seem to have become the go to choice these days. I believe both systems allow programmeable wireless shutter firing (correct me if i am wrong there) and also both allow you to trigger flashguns with them too.

Anyways, i know many people on here have lots of experience with the yongnuo sets but i am yet to see any threads about the Hahnel. Do people have any recommendations between these two or for other alternatives in the same sort of price bracket?

Price wise i am looking between the 60-80ish quid mark
Key functions i want are programmeable shutter release modes, preferably with the ability to programme to keep shooting past the nikon default of 100 shots (for when i do star trails on occasion) and with the functionality to control flashguns. The additional sensors with the Hahnel are an appealing but pricey longer term idea i have and aren't strictly essential if the alternatives are that good.

Any advice is appreciated!

to PW stuff that is a tad pricier! Sorry.
 
No problem matey, it's one of those things where I know it's buying into a system and not just an individual item so I just want to make sure I get it right. pocket wizards at one stage were my ultimate goal but as time has passed the cheaper alternatives seem to be getting more and more reliable and robust so there seems little justification now for new wireless flash users to go for the more expensive option currently. Obviously though if pw bring out a game changer changer that will change again though!
 
I'm using the Yongnuo system, 622tx and 622n for my Nikon. It will trigger and fire your flash without problem. You can control the power output of the flashes in TTL and supports high speed sync, your flash should be TTL and HSS compatible though. Both features I like on the Yongnuo's :)
