Hi,

I have been asked to do some photo booth work. what is the best way to wirelessly send my photos straight to a tablet or computer on the day from my canon eos 7d.

A possibility is a TP Link MR3040 which is a battery powered wireless router. It connects to the camera via the camera USB lead and transmits to a tab with an App like DSLR Controller (small cost) or DSLR Dashboard (free). Current cost for the router at amazon is £27.95 and the router would need the firmware changing for the role. A guide to doing this is at -

It must be this model of router and there are two versions, the firmware update must be correct for the purchased version. Battery life is said to be several hours. This set up will really only be suitable for a tripod mounted camera rather than a hand held arrangement. I have not used DSLR Controller or the router, but have used DSLR Dashboard for remote control and file transfer on a Nikon with a Nikon WIFI dongle plugged in, it works perfectly.

A second possibility is to use a wifi enabled SD card for cameras with an SD slot. The Canon 7D has a compact flash slot, it might or might not be feasible to use an SD to compact flash converter, see here -
 
As an addition to Harveys comment regarding the TP i purchased one V2, Flashed the appropriate firmware and it won't talk to my D7000 as a wan.
It's back in the box until i have the time to work through the issue with it and dslr dashboard app.
My point is it's a great setup if it works ;)

A friend has the exact same setup and it works flawlessly :banghead:

I use a Toshiba Flash Air Card with no issues, Might need to check compatability..
