Yes
:)

This is amined at the amateurs like myself really but pros, feel free to contribute.:)

This is going to sound sooooo sad but I've just bought a nifty fifty, I popped out at lunchtime on the yard and at 1.8 iso 100 I was amazed to achieve a shutter speed of 6000.

This made me think how nice it woud be to have a Canon EF 50mm f1.2L and possibly a Canon EF 70-200mm f2.8L IS USM for shooting doggies along with a Canon EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L IS USM, handy for wildlife it was then that I realised that I could really utilise a Canon EF 600mm f4.0L IS USM. Giving my ideas further thought, I know I could do with a Canon EF 17-40mm f4L USM.

My thoughts then turned to my house. Ok, so it's not a mansion but an extension would be great as I have a south facing garden. A ground floor studio with changing facilities (and a toilet) , workspace for computers and screens, oh and its own door so people and dogs didn't have to traipse through the house would be even better.

My tripod is rubbish so a good sturdy one would be appreciated along with a state of the art laptop. A few Canon flash guns would come in handy, along with some nice backgrounds and studio lights (around the £800 price bracket, not too expensive). A tasteful sofa would come in useful for when I read my photography magazines.

I think that's all really, I'm only dabbling in this photography lark.:lol:

What's on your wish list?

Lisa

Blad 3D:lol:

canon bobs current lens list:lol:

canon bobs current lens list:lol:

No problems Fletch....would you like the list by email or a hard copy posted?

For me...a good mix of Messiah Khan and Blinkerz ability would do for starters.

Bob

I'm not asking for much just maybe, ALL OF THE ABOVE AND MORE!! Yay gadgets!

Wouldn't say no to a 5D Mk 1, Canon 70-300 F2.8, Canon 17-55 F2.8 and a couple of 430EX Speedlights.....

So I'm not asking for much!

Probably a 70-200 f/2.8 IS, another 2 flash guns and skyport receivers, and a mpe-65 or macro lens in general.
Think I'd be cool with that. Oh, and I'd quite like either a 5D 1 or 2. Not too fussed just love the images they produce.

Me? I would like the money to travel to places with amazing vistas, so I could capture them.
Not much scenery in my neck of the woods.

My wishlist sucks!

- 35L
- 50L
- 85L
- 135L
- 200 f2L IS
- 1D mkIII

Anyone got £10K? :(

Thanks for the replies. I forgot to add a couple of new cameras to my list. LOL! Oh and probably go on a few decent photography courses.

Lisa

A full calendar of wedding/portrait clients.

So I can then pay for a 35mm f1.4 and a 16-35mm f2.8. And I really do need a new laptop for presenting work to clients.

Off to see if I can't get a grant!

Right now I'd like the Pentax SDM DA* 50-135mm F2.8

IF I ever find myself leaving Samsung/Pentax behind my wish list would be a D3x with a good spread of glass to go with it. But i'm never likely to afford that!!!

Full frame

:plusone: i'm fairly happy with the kit i have really, but full frame would be nice, as would a couple of nice primes 300mm 2.8 and a 600mm but in reality this isn't happening anytime soon and given the prices or in the distant future

I have two wish lists a realistic one and a lottery win one :)
The realistic one is
100-400L
135L
85 1.8
100 Macro
Any probably swap my Sigma 70-200 for a canon one for the IS.

The lotter winner list is a short one...
Every L lens in Canon's lineup apart from that 1200L as that's just silly.

Sigma 10-20mm
Sigma 24-70mm F2.8
Canon Speedlite 430EX MKII
Canon Speedlite 580EX MKII

My wishlist would consist of:

Nikon 50mm f1.8
Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 VR
Nikon 18-200mm f3.5-5.6 VR
Nikon SB-900 Flash
A loft conversion
A studio in my loft conversion
Backdrops, lights, props etc to kit out my studio
A never ending queue of rich customers wanting me to shoot them in my studio
A Premierleague football press pass
and last but not least.........a bag of crisps (I'm hungry)!!

A bunch of willing models and the light to shoot them with (don't mind if it's sunlight or studio...just LIGHT!)

Two things.....

Canon 200 1.8

And a some studio space to rent that ain`t ridiculously expensive......been looking for ages

70-200 2.8:)
17-55 2.8:)
300 2.8:)
another body like a 50d:)

Ok maybe 3/4 on the list are obtainable!

Difficult one, my dream wishlist thats buyable would include
300 f/2.8 IS
400 f/2.8 IS
85 f/1.2
1D mk3
1ds mk3

In reality I am looking at
400 f/5.6
5D mk1
85 f/1.8
All secondhand!!!

My biggest need is talent and even with a lottery win that cannot be bought.

I think mine would be the siggy 10-20 and the canon 100-400L to replace my siggy 50-500

The knowledge to take a decent picture would be nice lol

Equipment wise:

5D MkII
50D

Sigma 12-24
Tokina 11-16 f/2.8
24 f/1.4
24-70 f/2.8
70-200 f/2.8 IS
85 f/1.2
300 f/2.8 IS
500 f/4
1.4x TC
2x TC

Yummy, now where's that £20k I left behind the sofa...

I retired last month & with my pension payout was able to buy everything on my wish list, all to the left of the Sigma stuff in my signature purchased in January (except the 100-400 & 20D)

The only other thing would be the Canon 1D Mk IV, whenever that comes out, oh and maybe a 300 or 400 2.8.

Well, if we're wishing, a 10-750 f/2 VR (true) Macro with adjustable distortion correction and a tilt/shift mechanism would be nice. Oh, and it will only weigh 500g and be the size of my 24-70 f/2.8.

Back in reality, I have almost everything I want, although I'm planning to trade in a couple of lenses against a 150-500 OS in the not too distant future.

Hmmm, wishlists are a dangerous thing. I have a habit of finding a way to buy stuff on them... anyhow: -

Photo...
Canon 35mm F1.4
Canon 500mm F4 IS
Canon 300mm F2.8 IS (Although Siggy 120-300 would do here)
What the hell... Canon 600mm F4 IS and full wimberley head
1d mkIII

Other:
Saab 9-5 Aero
Decent dual action polisher
Ramps or an inspection pit in the garage
36" HD TV

Cleaner for the house.

A 35L, a 50mm f/1.2, a 70-200 f/2.8 IS L and a 580EX would do me to be honest.

Nikon D700, Nikon 50mm f1.4, Sigma 24mm f1.8 Macro, Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8
Don't care about flash.

A 3 bed flat in central london so i can have my computer in its own bloody room. Oh, and unlimited flights/train journeys. To be honest, its more the unlimited travel than the kit. I could get good shots with my little D80 and kit lens, aslong as i was somewhere not here :).

I'd recommend NOT trying the 300/2.8 if you get a 120-300 first ;)

Bob
My type of thinking

If I have a lens that fill a purpose I do my best not to try a lens that does the same job better unless I can afford to buy one...
