Won my first photo competition!!

We had a 'photo marathon' competition yesterday in Shrewsbury in aid of a local charity (http://www.woodfordfoundation.org.uk/). The rules were:

  • 4 subjects in the morrning and 4 in the afternoon
  • Only revealed on the day
  • no image manipulation
  • only images taken that day

So we entered as a family - I did it more for the experience and as a day hanging out as a family than anything else. However, we won in one of the categories (the words were isolation/inclusion) and this pic then won the overall. We were pretty surprised - haha.

I was going to pop along myself and enter, but at £15 an entry + £10 getting there and back I couldn't be bothered :)

Well done mate, was going to come to that myself but ended up going to Wales instead (didnt get any decent shots there either though :()
 
this picture is pretty powerful ... the child actually makes me want to cry looks like he needs a hug :(

Actually - the model is my youngest. 5 minutes before he was tearing around the play park like a maniac have a great time. My wife is sat just to the right coaching him - he was promised an ice cream if he looked sad - haha.
