I have some funds available following a competition win, so I'm looking at expanding the kitbag.

Currently have
1ds iii
70-200 2.8 ii
24-105 4
Speedlights 580exiis
Phottix odins

Was thinking some fast shorter length,so possibly sell the 24-105 and buy

50mm 1.4 sigma or canon.. Not sure which
85mm 1.4 sigma
24-70 2.8 canon

I'm finding lots of low light shooting is the norm, plus moving subjects, I think I need to take the kit bag one step at a time, so any and all comments welcome. Longer lenses will have to wait a while. I like the idea of creative shots with a fisheye maybe, also don't have any macro for details...

It's very confusing deciding what's best...

Depend what you need .........

The 24-70 f2.8 is a good all around lens but if you ok with your 24-105 f4 then no need to get the 24-70.

50mm or 85mm is a good choice to add to your collection since you don't have any prime lens and it will be very good to use in low light.

I would suggest a 50mm.

I can afford all of them... Just making me wonder if I should go all out and buy the lot or one at a time..

The 50mm is a big debate for me too..sigma or canon :s

Now confused myself even more. Having looked at the new 24 70 ii specs it seems to blow the old one and most the primes away on mtf which usually translates into picture quality. I have a constant dilemma looking at anything in 70-200mm as the image quality of the mark ii is that good, perhaps this is going to be the same and I may be best served waiting for that.. Then sell the 24-105 and use leftover funds for other options..
