Yes
And what type of camera they were using? Here is a situation where there are likely to be terrorist connotations and just look at what is being used.

Anybody else get the feeling the wrong type of photographer might be getting targetted too often? :cuckoo:

Can't believe how little the police reacted to that metal barrier being thrown at them. Think they needed a small water Canon

Had they so much have breathed on them they probably would be suspended pending investigation into racial discrimination or something like that, knowing this country. They should have rushed at the guy who threw the barrier and taught him a lesson or two about the consequences of throwing a metal barrier at a Policeman.

I think they new that if thwey reacted to one person, it would have been an all out riot. Thankfully the police are a lot more restrained these days!

I think it's pathetic how 'football hooligans' get charged at and taught a lesson by the police, but palestinians wont get a finger put on them.

Then again, i could very easily see the whole crowd getting hostile if the police did step in.

and if they charged, i would assume it would break the line and let people through, as they are protecting something:shrug:

Based on that I think the police showed incredible restraint.
I hope the offenders get arrested - I suspect there will be enough cctv footage.
Makes you wonder how many of the crowd actually cared about Gaza and how many are just spoiling for a fight.

Bring back the tear gas ;)

I wonder how other countries police forces would have reacted faced with that situation.

Now, if the person who threw the metal barrier was a white, middle class photographer or artist........

i'm not sure what your point was, but it made me laugh.. I have this vision in my head of a guy in a long coat, beret, moustache, an easel and a palette licking the end of his brush and then throwing a metal fence

It was one of the thin blue line that gave me the link. I'm trying to get him to post on here about whether or not photographers are being targetted, but I get the distinct feeling he and his colleagues are being gagged and can't say anything to support or deny what is happening.

Of course if I was a cynic, I could suggest that link was offered, in the hope it would get passed around, and show the police arent the thugs that they are sometimes portrayed as.

You guys want to get out into the world and see what the rest of it is like... our Police whilst no angels are nowhere near as bad as some of the stuff I have seen... check out the French CRS or worse still, Russia's OMON....

Anyway, here are some Russian police dealing with a minor infraction, I expect the bloke was a photographer or artist or something:
