Woodpecker

Hi all,

Was visiting friends at in Wales at the weekend. Never seen a woodpecker before and delighted to view this one - only had a fleeting chance to grab a shot before it was gone!

Nice capture, the colour in a basically monochrome shot works well.

We have one in the garden most days but they are so quick !!! Yet to shoot (not literally) a green one, can hear them in the woods but can't see them only flying then they just dissapear

This one was taken through glass (not celaned the windows yet )

They are fast and elusive

Would love a natural shot like yours well captured.

Briony - your shot might not be natural, but it's impressively close and pretty good detail given it's shot through a window!
