Taken today in my first session with a D90 just bought off here.
The bird is in my back garden and is the first woodpecker we've seen here in 27years:cool:

Very nice, great detail, and one that is on my list for a good shot.
 
thanks for the comments, camera is a Nikon D90, lens is a 300 F2.8 VR with a x1.7 TC

The lens does make a huge difference, I guess to some people a lens costing 4 times the cost of a camera seems a bit daft, but it just goes to show what a good camera the D90 is.

Enjoy the D300s I loved my D300 when I had it.

lovely shot, We get a family every year into our garden and i cannot wait to try out my recently aquired 70-200 2.8 vr with the 1.7 tc and D90 with them

This bird is a fixture at the moment, he's feeding for several minutes at about 7:45 every morning, we're really pleased.
