I am still searching for a decent WP theme I like for my site?

There's none I really like in the wordpress themes list, so is there any other reputable sites people can recommend?

I am nervous of using google to find them as I have seen the sorts of badness that can be hidden inside a google sourced themes code. Things like affiliate linking, syphoning off of details etc.

If not I will probably end up writing my own/childing the standard one.
 
Check out the software called artisteer. It lets you create your own wordpress theme. The templates are reasonably varied once you get into them and start messing around with the settings. I've used it for several sites.

That looks pretty smart. While I can code and mess with the gubbins easily enough I'm no designer (as proven by my very lack luster watermark logo). That looks like it will at least get me started if nothing else.
