Worth considering anythibg apart from Fuji X20?

Hi guys, looking at the Fuji x20 as it can do wide angle(ish), macro and short telephoto all in one small package, its the only camera of its class I have really looked at so would like to know if there is anything comparable for about £300 as I'll be getting it for £330 from digitalrev, thing I really like about the X20 is the colour reproduction when looking at the images on flickr etc.
 
Hi, No doubt someone will dissagree with me, but when I was looking around for a similar type of camera I could find nothing else that comes close to the X20.

I tried a card in several other cameras but overall the X20 was by far the best for image quality, lens, general facilities, view finder, focus, flash, and many other things.

It is an excellent bit of kit. ( and no I'm not linked with Fuji in any way).

Well I had the X10 and on reviewing my photo collection last night I am still amazed at the quality it produced and the X20 is meant to be better! The only issue, for me on the X10 was the focus speed. Still a cracking camera.
 
My son just bought an X20 and is very happy with it. The only thing that might come close at present is the Sony RX100, but that's more expensive and doesn't have an optical viewfinder.
 
Fuji's XF-1 goes slightly wider (24mm rather than the X-10/20's 28mm) than the X-10/20 and is more pocketable. Very little to choose between them all as far as IQ and colour rendition goes (up to A3 prints).

This is the only thing that puts me off it - the lens does not retract right into the body making it more bulky to carry.
If it was my main camera not an issue but as a second easy to carry 'compact' it needs to be slim.
 
I went to choose between a Nikon 1 series and an X-10 a while ago and neither fitted my main need which was to fit in a shirt pocket. I was shown the XF-1 and after a quick comparison of the IQ from the X-10 and the XF-1 (indistinguishable at the same focal length), I left with the XF-1. Soon after, I bought an X-10 second hand which I later sold to fund an X-20. Was quite tempted by an X-100 but it didn't offer anything extra over the baby Xs I already have.

On a recent holiday, I took a DSLR with a superzoom lens, a bridge superzoom and the baby Xs. A quick analysis of the keepers shows the baby Xs well in front (and almost dead level) with the other larger cameras some way behind. TBH, I would be happy with any of the cameras I took as a single camera solution but if I had to choose and take just one, it would almost certainly be the XF-1, purely because of the pocketability. (Mind you, I would also try to sneak in the X-20 alongside the Canon D10 [which is waterproof - handy when snorkelling!].)
 
Hmmm after looking around I am undecided what to do now, I currently have a G5 with kit lens, 45-150mm tele and 20mm 1.7, its not as portable as I would have hoped so has not got any use and I am going to sell it to fund an x20 or similar hoping an all in one main camera would suit my needs but would a cheap compact micro 4/3 camera suit my needs better than an all in one? Does anyone else use an x20 or similar as their main camera?

I think what I really want is something fun that stops me worrying about what next to buy and means I actually use it and improve my (currently rather poor) skills.
 
Remember you wont get the same range in one lens from the M43 setup unless you buy a large 14-140mm.

Am I missing something? I already have equivalent of 28-300mm covered with my current Micro 4/3 lenses and.
