worth upgrading the 50mm 1.4d to the sigma 50mm 1.4 hsm?

I've been keeping my eyes on a few ebay auctions for the sigma and have got in touch with a couple of sellers who have sent me sample images/assured me that their copy is a good copy and doesn't suffer from the focus issues of some of the dodgy sigmas. So my question is, is it actually worth upgrading? I've googled it and just get a real mix of opinions regarding sharpness wide open, bokeh etc. Has anyone made the swap?

I recently changed from a Canon 50 f1.2L to the Siggy 50 f1.4 and am absolutely delighted with the swop it is such a good lens.

Although the Canon is a phenomenal lens I think the AF speed of the Sigma is a bit faster and I do not miss the f1.2 too much.

If you are tempted to buy used do make sure you get the Siggy 50 f1.4 with the new matt finish though they are reported to be much better than the older versions of this lens.
