Would a Manfrotto head fit on a Giottos tripod?

I'm going to be purchasing a new tripod and head combo soon and I'm looking at getting a Giottos MTL8361B and a Manfrotto 498RC2 to sit on top.

Originally I was going to go for the Giottos MH1312-652 head (and would have preferred it) but found that I can get a BlackRapid connector that works with the Manfrotto RS2 head plates to go with my RS-7 strap.

My question, and I'm guessing the answer to be yes but it's best to be sure, is will the Manfrotto head secure to the Giottos tripod without any problems?

Any opinions about the tripod and either of the ball heads would be welcome.

Should fit just fine, pretty sure all Heads just screw in to the plate on the tripod, and i'm pretty sure the screw is a universal fit :)
 
yes it will fit, I use a Giottos tripod but use a red snapper head instead because my original head is broken.

The giottos have a 2 threaded screw on the plate you can change them around depend on the thread size of your head.
 
I have a Giottos MTL9361B (which is the aluminium version of the one you're buying) and the thread you attach the head to is reversible to give you a choice between 1/4" and 3/8". This page of the Giottos website shows what I'm on about as being a feature of the 92, 82, 93 and 83 models.

The page you've linked for the Manfrotto head says it uses a 3/8'' thread which is the same as the Giottos MH-5001 head that I got bundled with my tripod, so the thread is right at least.
 
I figured that would be the case but it's nice to have some clarification.
