Yes
If i bought this??

I was at my local camera club last night and the organiser had a canon version. He never told anyone until he threw the lens (well what we thought to be a lens!) At the guy who was giving the presentation. The look of horror on the presenter's face when it was about to bounce on the floor was evident for all to see! I think when he heard the plastic bounce he was a tad relieved

In answer to your question, yes you would be a total geek

Would you be a total geek......... most of us already are by being into photography and members of this wonderful place, but shushhhhh dont tell anyone.

Yes, you would be a total geek.

Yes, you should be proud of that fact.

I've had a Canon 24-105 mug for a couple of months at work offshore. It never fails to amuse and intrigue anyone new to the rig. Always gets commented on and has sparked up several interesting conversations with other togs.
Me a geek ? Hell - yes.

Dunno why but that brings a pretty funny image in my mind, everyone having an intresting conversation about a mug of coffee, does it get lonely out on them there rigs? :naughty:

I want one!

i dont own a 70-200 nor a 24-105, i dont feel worthy getting one! however at least it will stop confusion!

I'll have to get one

I can see it having exactly the same problem as my insulated travel mug and every other one I've come across - the base is much smaller than the top and it will take but the slightest tap to knock it over.
