Does anyone know where I can buy 275w bc modeling lamps for my bowens esprit's. I seems everyone has stopped making them. The alternative halogen version get dangerously hot very quickly and are 6x the price!

Hi,
I bought my Bowen's a few months back and as soon as I got them both Photoflood bulbs popped. W.E couldnt replace the bulbs as they didnt have any bulbs in stock, so they replaced the whole kit :shrug:
I still have the Photofloods that came with my replacement kit, although I was advised that the 250W Halostar lamps were better and last a lot longer . I pressume these are the ones that you say get hot, which doesnt sound good.
Two places I was advised to try for Photofloods were ... www.bltdirect.com and www.morrisphoto.co.uk
Would you mind letting me know if you actually get some, might be worth buying a few in.
