X-T2 Memory cards question

Hey guys.My X-T2 is turning up tomorrow and I have one 32gb 300 mb/s sandisk card already.My question is should I send back the 300 mbs and just get two 32gb 95 mbs cards or keep the 300mbs and add a 95mbs for the second card slot (can I do that or do both cards need to be the same mb/s) ? I’m reading the 300 mbs is a bit overkill.

I mix and match in my XT2's. Unless your going to shoot sports or similar I wouldn't worry.

If you're going to send raw files to slot 1 and JPEGs to slot 2, I'd put the fast card in 1 and a slower in 2 but if you're planning on sending everything to both cards, go for the faster cards in both slots. It MIGHT be overkill but it's better to overspec than under (IMO!)

FWIW, since I only ever shoot to JPEG, I have had no problems with a 90Mb/s 32GB card or 2.

I always buy top spec because in the future, you might need something faster for your new camera so I don't need to buy more. Plus I just like the cards to be over capable to maintain performance no matter how negligible it might be. That's just me though. 95mb/s should be plenty though.
