X100F query

Yes
I've just today picked up an X100f from Amazon Warehouse and, after charging the battery, set it up.

When I opened it to put in the SDCard, I dislodged the battery, and thinking nothing of it, just put it in again. However, when I restarted, the settings were gone and I had to set it up again.

I removed the battery again and again the settings had cleared.

Is this a quirk of the X100f or a problem? Looks like I may be returning it to Amazon :(

@KMPhoto

This may not be a problem with the camera.

It is very likely that the internal battery that is used to store settings has become depleted, it is charged by the camera battery.

You would need to have a charged battery inside the camera for a few hours to allow the internal battery to charge so it can save settings.

I would suggest leaving a charged battery in the camera for 3-4 hours and then checking it again then, if it is still not saving your setting it may then be the case that there is a fault.

This is the same for pretty much every digital camera.

Same issue this morning, despite a fully charged battery being in overnight.

In the process of returning to Amazon.
